Job Description

We are seeking a Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, be detail-oriented, and proficient in financial reporting. Your role will be crucial in ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial reports and statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct internal audits and assist in external audit processes.
• Manage tax compliance and prepare tax returns.
• Advise management on financial strategies and budgeting.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Review accounting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Train and mentor junior accountants and staff.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Master's degree in Finance is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in a corporate finance role
