Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our East London office. The successful candidate will have a robust background in mechanical design and manufacturing processes, and will play a key role in developing efficient engineering solutions that drive our projects forward.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain engineering documentation and specifications.
• Coordinate project activities and resources efficiently.
• Address design challenges and provide innovative solutions.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and contribute to procurement decisions.
• Mentor interns and junior staff in mechanical engineering principles.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional certification in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a related field

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of materials science
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes

Certifications

• Lean Manufacturing Certification
• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of renewable energy systems: Familiarity with technologies related to sustainable engineering solutions.
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA): Practical experience using FEA software to assess engineering designs.
