Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Intellectual Property Attorney to join our Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IP law, including trademark registration, copyright issues, and patent applications, with a focus on providing strategic legal advice to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IP policies for clients.
• Handle licensing agreements and negotiations.
• Provide training and workshops on IP law to clients.
• Research and analyse IP law to provide informed legal advice.

Requirements

Education

• LLB in Law
• Advanced IP law courses are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in IP law

Technical Skills

• Trademark Law
• Patent Law

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Team Management

Certifications

• Certified IP Attorney

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Digital IP Issues: Experience in managing digital IP rights and online enforcement.
• Experience in IP Policy Development: Ability to contribute to the development of IP policies for clients.
