Job Description

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of design principles and a flair for creating beautiful and functional interiors that enhance our client’s spaces.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative interior spaces that align with client needs and trends.
• Oversee project lifecycles from concept through to completion.
• Liaise with contractors and vendors for project execution.
• Create detailed design documentation for implementation.
• Track project expenses and ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Evaluate materials and finishes for quality and suitability.
• Facilitate design workshops with clients and team members.
• Implement sustainable design principles where possible.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design
• Additional qualifications in sustainable design are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in residential and commercial design

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Adaptability

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional
• Certified Interior Designer (CID)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of smart home technology: Experience in integrating smart technology into residential designs.
• Familiarity with historical building regulations: Understanding of regulations pertaining to renovations in historical buildings.
