Construction Planner

Job Description

We're in search of a Construction Planner who will be responsible for the coordination and management of construction projects from conception through to completion. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and contractors to ensure that all phases of the project are completed on time and within budget constraints.

Responsibilities

• Formulate project plans that align with company objectives.
• Oversee all planning-related documentation for accuracy.
• Facilitate project meetings and document action points.
• Ensure timely delivery and quality assurance in all project phases.
• Adjust plans as necessary based on project changes or challenges.
• Build strong relationships with local authorities and communities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Postgraduate qualifications are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in large-scale construction projects

Technical Skills

• Risk Management
• Construction Codes and Regulations

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving
• Time Management

Certifications

• Chartered Membership in the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations: In-depth knowledge of construction site health and safety protocols.
• Experience with Site Management: Hands-on experience managing onsite construction activities and teams.
