Heat Treat Furnace Operator

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Heat Treat Furnace Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring heat treat furnaces to ensure compliance with established procedures while ensuring the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor furnace temperatures and vacuum levels through regular testing.
• Adjust furnace settings to achieve desired heat treatment results.
• Assist in developing and maintaining heat treatment processes.
• Prepare reports on operational activities and efficiencies.
• Work closely with other production staff to meet production schedules.
• Participate in training programs for new operators and team members.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Diploma/Degree) is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in operating heat treat furnaces

Certifications

• Heat Treatment Certification (preferred)
• Occupational Health and Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• PLC Programming Experience: Experience in programming and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers.
• Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
