Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and improvement of mechanical systems and processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and demonstrate innovative problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD models and simulations for mechanical designs.
• Work collaboratively with the team to optimize mechanical systems.
• Ensure all designs meet safety and performance standards.
• Document and report on project progress and engineering challenges.
• Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures and propose solutions.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for new product development.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers.
• Monitor project performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop maintenance programs for mechanical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Experience

• 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a relevant sector.
