Mechanical Drafter

Job Description

The Mechanical Drafter will be tasked with creating comprehensive technical drawings and plans for a variety of architectural projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects and engineers to ensure that all drawings are accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD software to produce high-quality 2D and 3D drawings.
• Work closely with design teams to capture and refine project specifications.
• Implement feedback from team members to ensure timely adjustments to designs.
• Prepare detailed technical reports for projects.
• Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to design discussions.
• Review designs and ensure they meet building codes and regulations.
• Assist in the development of accurate cost estimates for projects.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies related to drafting and design.
• Provide support to junior drafters and assist in their development.
• Contribute to a collaborative and innovative workplace culture.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Architectural Technology or a similar qualification

Experience

• 1-3 years in a similar role

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• 3D Studio Max

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in the construction industry: Previous work experience in a construction environment will be an advantage.
