Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage dental emergencies.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments thoroughly.
• Promote a patient-centered approach to care.
• Engage in community service initiatives related to oral health.
• Participate in team meetings and case presentations.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff as needed.
• Develop and implement patient care protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
• Specialization in Orthodontics (preferred)

Experience

• 3+ years in a busy dental practice

Technical Skills

• Oral Surgery Skills
• Radiography

Soft Skills

• Team Management
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• Intermediate Life Support Course

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
