Job Description

We are on the lookout for a qualified actuary to join our dynamic financial team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and expertise in various actuarial models and risk assessment techniques.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed reports outlining risk assessments and recommendations.
• Work closely with underwriters to determine appropriate pricing of policies.
• Assist in compliance with regulatory requirements through thorough analysis.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies and recommend improvements.
• Use software tools to perform advanced mathematical calculations.
• Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance in actuarial practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Fellowship or Associate membership in a recognized actuarial organization is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in actuarial roles
