Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to lead waste management projects in Durban. The successful candidate will design, implement, and oversee waste management solutions that comply with local regulations while promoting sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Assess and optimize existing waste management systems.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on environmental projects.
• Implement innovative technologies for waste processing and recycling.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for waste management operations.
• Develop educational programs on waste reduction for the community.
• Prepare environmental impact assessments for proposed projects.
• Conduct field investigations and collect relevant data.
• Engage with stakeholders to promote environmental awareness.
• Maintain project documentation and administrative records.
• Evaluate vendor proposals for waste management services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in environmental projects with a focus on waste management
