Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner to join our esteemed healthcare team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care, diagnosing and treating a diverse range of conditions, and ensuring high standards of patient care. The ideal candidate should possess excellent clinical skills and a strong dedication to patient well-being.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions.
• Implement health promotional activities and preventive health programs.
• Engage with family members to discuss patient concerns and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Assist in clinical research projects as required.
• Provide telemedicine consultations as applicable.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care protocols.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
• Support efforts in maintaining a safe and welcoming clinic environment.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to medical interns and new practitioners.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Specialist qualification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in general practice or emergency medicine

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Palliative Care Certification
