Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Emergency Room Nurse to join our busy ER team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for providing immediate care to patients experiencing medical emergencies, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients efficiently upon arrival to the emergency department.
• Perform routine medical procedures such as IV insertions and wound care.
• Engage in patient advocacy ensuring their needs are met.
• Work collaboratively with emergency response teams during critical situations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support patient safety.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
• Additional certifications in emergency nursing preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in emergency or trauma nursing settings

• Emergency Response Skills

Certifications

• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent
