Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Investment Banker to join our Cape Town office. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in investment analysis, financial modeling, and client management. You will play a vital role in advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic financial solutions for clients.
• Analyze market trends to identify investment opportunities.
• Mentor junior analysts and interns in investment banking practices.
• Prepare and review investment proposals and memoranda.
• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Master's degree is highly regarded

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in investment banking or financial advisory roles

Technical Skills

• Financial Analysis
• Market Research

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Time Management

Certifications

• CFA or similar certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu or another South African language: Proficient

Advantageous

• Experience with financial software tools: Familiarity with platforms like Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar tools.
• Bilingual proficiency: Ability to communicate in both English and Afrikaans is a significant advantage.
