Accountant

Job Description

We're searching for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Cape Town. As an integral part of our financial department, you'll handle a variety of responsibilities including preparing financial statements, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial data for reports.
• Coordinate the accounting cycle including month-end and year-end closing.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis.
• Assist in the development of financial objectives and budgets.
• Engage in continuous improvement of financial processes.
• Represent the accounting department in inter-departmental meetings.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and assist with training.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting

• Financial Reporting

Certifications

• CPA or equivalent is advantageous
