Reinforcing Iron and Rebar Worker

Job Description

As a Reinforcing Iron and Rebar Worker, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of iron structures in various settings. You should have a strong understanding of ironworking techniques and be comfortable working in both a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineers and architects to meet project specifications.
• Perform regular maintenance on iron installations.
• Document work progress and report any issues to the Site Manager.
• Provide training and guidance to junior ironworkers.
• Assist in the development of project timelines and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory of materials and tools and report shortages.

Requirements

Education

• Vocational training in ironworking or similar field

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Welding
• Iron fixture installation

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication

Certifications

• Safety certifications (first aid, etc.)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of local building codes: Familiarity with regulatory requirements for iron installations.
