Construction Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee projects in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in planning, coordinating, and managing construction activities to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee multiple construction projects concurrently.
• Facilitate communication between all stakeholders involved.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Enforce quality control on all aspects of construction.
• Manage change orders and negotiate contracts.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Lead project meetings and articulate project goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 7+ years of construction management experience

Technical Skills

• Construction Law
• Quality Control

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
• Lean Construction Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in large-scale commercial projects: Hands-on experience leading significant commercial constructions.
• Knowledge of advanced safety protocols: Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.
