Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer in our Durban office, you will focus on innovative design and engineering processes. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments to optimize solutions, improving product quality and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design specifications for mechanical systems.
• Perform material selection and cost estimation.
• Oversee product testing and validation.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure quality production.
• Conduct root cause analysis for product issues.
• Lead design reviews and project meetings.
• Implement continuous improvement practices in engineering processes.
• Assist in the development of project budgets.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors as necessary.
• Document design changes and maintain project files.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional Engineer registration is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience

Languages

• English: Fluent
