Freight Forwarder

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Freight Forwarder to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating logistics for shipments both locally and internationally. You will ensure that all documentation is accurate and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate freight forwarding operations efficiently.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed for imports and exports.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding shipments.
• Evaluate shipping options and negotiate rates with carriers.
• Track and trace shipments through supply chain systems.
• Maintain compliance with national and international regulations.
• Assist in developing logistics strategies to improve efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar
• Certifications in supply chain management are a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of logistics or freight forwarding experience required

Technical Skills

• Supply Chain Management
• Freight Accounting

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Detail-oriented

Certifications

• CILT Certificate in Logistics and Transport

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Proficiency in multiple languages: Ability to communicate in additional languages is a plus.
• Familiarity with e-commerce logistics: Experience in logistics management for e-commerce businesses is advantageous.
