Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinarian with strong clinical skills to join our team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will manage patient caseloads, promote health education, and collaborate with our team to optimize animal welfare. An empathetic approach and a strong team spirit are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals and provide treatment options.
  • Carry out minor and major surgeries with expertise.
  • Oversee the administration of anaesthetics during procedures.
  • Provide emergency care and be on-call as needed.
  • Develop treatment plans for a variety of animal species.
  • Engage in continuous professional development as part of the role.
  • Support training and development of junior staff.
  • Conduct follow-up examinations for ongoing cases.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary practice
