Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist based in Cape Town, you will lead initiatives to improve public health awareness and access to healthcare services. Responsibilities include developing educational materials, coordinating outreach efforts, and analyzing health data to inform community health strategies. Your expertise will directly impact the health of our communities, ensuring health equity and better outcomes for all.

Responsibilities

  • Lead community workshops focusing on nutrition, exercise, and preventative healthcare.
  • Establish partnerships with local businesses and organizations to support health initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on public health issues that affect the community.
  • Collaborate on health education initiatives targeting diverse populations.
  • Provide information on health resources and services available to community members.
  • Participate in public health conferences and forums to represent the organization.
  • Support efforts in developing the overall strategic direction for public health programming.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, or related field
  • Master's degree in Public Health preferred but not mandatory
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in public health program management or similar role
