Job Description

We're searching for a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. This role will focus on developing, implementing, and maintaining machine learning models that drive our innovative AI solutions. As part of our team, you'll work collaboratively with data scientists and software engineers to optimize model performance and scalability, ensuring our solutions are at the forefront of technology.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets to derive insights and inform model development.
  • Implement best practices for model training and evaluation.
  • Collaborate on the development of scalable machine learning infrastructure.
  • Document processes and findings for knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Participate in tech talks and workshops to share knowledge and innovations.
  • Support the continuous improvement of our machine learning processes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
  • PhD is an advantage
Experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in machine learning
Technical Skills
  • R or SQL

Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with reinforcement learning: Applied reinforcement learning techniques in previous projects.
