Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our Pretoria team. In this role, you will provide crucial support to clients dealing with various mental health issues. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and offer therapy in individual and group settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform client intake assessments to determine treatment needs.
• Develop and oversee treatment plans tailored to each client.
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings.
• Implement various therapeutic strategies and interventions.
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards and best practices in mental health counseling.
• Document progress notes and updates for client files.
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to promote holistic care.
• Assist in managing and resolving crisis situations.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families regarding mental health disorders.
• Engage in professional development activities to enhance counseling skills.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a mental health counseling role
