Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing mechanical systems while collaborating closely with other engineers and clients to ensure project quality and success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test prototypes to evaluate their performance and functionality.
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and feedback.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in existing systems.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Document design processes and outcomes for future reference.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for project materials.
• Implement best practices for safety and sustainability in engineering processes.
• Lead training sessions for junior engineers and interns.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed design drawings.
• Engage in project presentations and stakeholder meetings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering
