Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Social Worker in Cape Town. You will support community members in overcoming barriers to their well-being through counselling, intervention, and resource allocation. Strong communication and empathetic listening skills are essential to ensure our clients receive the best support possible.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver workshops focused on enhancing life skills for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for vulnerable populations.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of services and make recommendations for improvement.
• Foster relationships with clients to build trust and ensure effective communication.
• Stay updated with social work best practices and legal guidelines.
• Contribute to program development and community needs assessments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related disciplines
• Master's degree in Social Work strongly preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in social service delivery

Certifications

• Registered Social Worker Certification
• CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
