Production Planner

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Production Planner to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing our production processes to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain master production schedules based on demand forecasts.
• Identify bottlenecks in the production process and propose solutions.
• Monitor and report on production metrics and KPIs.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality materials.
• Assist in the training and development of production staff.
• Implement best practices in production planning.
• Manage inventory levels and minimize waste.
• Facilitate effective communication between production teams and management.
• Review and update production planning policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Production Management or Industrial Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in production planning or manufacturing coordination

Technical Skills

• Inventory management systems
• Project management software

• Team leadership

Certifications

• ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
