Core Driller Helper

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Core Driller Helper to assist our Core Drillers with drilling operations on various mining and construction sites. The successful candidate will be physically fit and able to work in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the drilling team to ensure operational efficiency.
• Assist in daily setup and breakdown of drilling rigs.
• Maintain adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Record and submit daily reports regarding drilling activities.
• Actively participate in ongoing training for equipment operation.
• Help implement best practices for drilling techniques.
• Support other staff in various tasks as required.
• Ensure tools and equipment are stored and maintained correctly.
• Assist in evaluating drilling performance and suggesting improvements.
• Be ready to be on-call or work overtime if necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in the drilling industry is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Heavy Machinery Operation
• Understanding of Geological Formations

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• First Aid Certificate (advantageous)
• Driver's License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous work experience in a mining or construction environment: Experience working in physically demanding conditions.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery: Experience in operating various types of heavy equipment.
