Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Locomotive Engineer who will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our Lokie systems. This role requires robust technical skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment to ensure high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans for locomotives and railway equipment.
  • Identify equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Ensure inventory management for replacement parts is efficient.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Participate in safety audits and compliance checks.
  • Provide updates on project status to the Railway Equipment Manager.
  • Train junior engineers and interns in system operations and practices.
  • Liaise with suppliers for technical support and parts procurement.
  • Ensure proper logging of maintenance activities and incidents.
  • Participate in team meetings to contribute ideas and strategies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Additional qualifications in Project Management preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in railway systems engineering or related roles.
