Inventory Planner

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Planner to manage inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels throughout our distribution channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Forecast demand accurately to prevent inventory shortages.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers for efficient procurement.
• Implement best practices in inventory management to enhance efficiency.
• Analyze sales trends to inform inventory strategies.
• Assist in the development of inventory budgets and controls.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with sales teams for optimal replenishment.
• Prepare detailed reports on inventory metrics for the executive team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding inventory.
• Participate in inventory planning meetings and strategy sessions.
• Support the transition to new inventory management software.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field
• Master's degree in Logistics Management preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in logistics and inventory planning

Technical Skills

• Forecasting Techniques
• Microsoft Excel

Certifications

• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
