We are seeking a Freight Coordinator to oversee our shipping operations in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will manage transportation logistics, ensure timely delivery of goods, and liaise with carriers and clients to streamline operations.

• Oversee the preparation of shipping documents and bills of lading.
• Liaise with customs brokers and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Ensure proper packaging and labeling of goods for shipment.
• Support the logistics team in optimizing freight routes and scheduling.
• Monitor shipment performance and provide feedback for improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in transportation regulations.
• Conduct training sessions for junior team members on logistics processes.
• Assist with audits of freight and logistics operations.
• Maintain relationships with supply chain partners and support vendor management.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly.

• Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Logistics Management Proficiency in managing logistics operations and processes.
• Freight Software Experience with logistics software for tracking and managing shipments.
• Regulatory Compliance Knowledge of customs regulations and compliance requirements.
• Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
• Problem-solving Strong ability to address and resolve logistical challenges.
• Time Management Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• English (Fluent)

• Knowledge of SAP: Familiarity with SAP logistics modules for managing freight operations.
• Experience with Freight Forwarders: Ability to work closely with freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers.
