Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient health history and conduct physical examinations.
• Develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide empathetic and compassionate care to patients.
• Review lab results and adjust treatment protocols accordingly.
• Participate in training and mentoring junior staff.
• Engage with the community to promote health awareness.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Specialisation in general practice or family medicine is an asset

Experience

• 3+ years in a family practice setting

• Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
• Emergency Care Skills

• Team Leadership
• Crisis Management

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• First Aid certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

• Knowledge of public health initiatives: Understanding of community health issues and public health programs.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Fluency in both languages to enhance patient communication.
