We are looking for a qualified Mining Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mining plans, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and optimizing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining operations, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Work with environmental teams to ensure sustainable mining practices.
• Analyze production data and recommend operational changes.
• Participate in community engagement and respond to public inquiries.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is desirable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underground mining operations

• Mining Software
• Risk Management

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Mine Safety Professional (CMSP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Mine Rehabilitation: Knowledge and experience in mine site rehabilitation processes.
• Familiarity with Geological Software: Experience with software for geological data analysis.
