Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing chemical processes to enhance product quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering principles and experience in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate and implement efficient chemical processes in production.
  • Evaluate and select chemical equipment suitable for processes.
  • Develop methodologies to minimize waste and enhance sustainability.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with scientists to develop new products.
  • Lead optimization initiatives to reduce costs and improve output.
  • Oversee production trials and analyze results.
  • Prepare and present technical findings to stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in chemical engineering.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar engineering role
