Job Description

We are in search of a Construction Materials Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and management of materials for various construction projects throughout Johannesburg. The ideal candidate should possess strong organisational skills and an eye for detail to ensure the effective management of resources and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the procurement of materials, including bulk orders and special requests.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of supplier contracts and orders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to facilitate negotiation.
  • Produce regular reports on material usage and project requirements.
  • Facilitate delivery schedules and logistics for materials.
  • Review and approve material submittals from suppliers.
  • Assist in training site personnel on proper material handling and safety.

Advantageous

  • Experience with CAD software: Knowledge of utilizing CAD software for construction planning and material layouts.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations: Understanding of local safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
