Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to contribute to our team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing budgets, and conducting variance analysis among other duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely closing of accounts for month-end.
• Assist in developing and implementing policies for financial reporting.
• Prepare cost analyses and monitor project budgets.
• Provide financial training and support to team members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the accounting field.

• Tax Preparation
• Financial Analysis

Certifications

• CIMA
• SAIPA

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficient in Sage Pastel: Experience with Sage Pastel accounting software would be a plus.
• Experience in financial reporting: Strong skills in preparing financial statements and reports.
