Job Description

The Grain Broker will be responsible for facilitating the buying and selling of grain commodities, managing relationships with clients and suppliers, and analyzing market trends to inform decision making. You will develop and maintain key relationships that are essential for driving sales and navigating the market landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee grain trading activities and ensure profitability.
  • Negotiate and structure contracts with clients.
  • Monitor market fluctuations and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to enhance relationship management.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with grain trading.
  • Prepare and present market analysis reports to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate logistics for grain delivery and transportation.
  • Attend trade shows and networking events to promote company offerings.
  • Conduct training sessions for junior staff on trading best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards in grain procurement.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Economics, or Business Administration
Experience
  • Experience in managing client relationships and negotiating contracts.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of trading and risk management strategies
Soft Skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers
Languages
  • Afrikaans: Conversational
