Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will work on a broad range of projects, applying your engineering knowledge and skills to develop safe and sustainable structures that meet client needs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed designs for various structures according to project specifications.
• Review and approve engineering calculations and design work.
• Coordinate with contractors during the construction phase to resolve issues.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for project records.
• Assist in project estimation and budgeting.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
• Provide expert advice on structural integrity and safety.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SAP2000
• Revit
• Structural Analysis
• Project Management

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Certification in Structural Engineering

Languages

• English: Fluent
