Job Description

We are currently seeking an Urban Planner to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for developing land use plans, zoning regulations, and community studies to improve urban areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urban design and project management. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies and community members, to ensure development aligns with sustainability practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative solutions for sustainable urban growth.
  • Assess and report on the effectiveness of urban plans and policies.
  • Coordinate with public and private sectors for successful project execution.
  • Prepare and present planning findings to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay updated on urban planning trends and best practices.
  • Assist in grant writing and funding proposals for urban development projects.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or related field
  • Master's preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in urban planning or community development
