Job Description

As an Urban Planner in Pretoria, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing urban development plans that enhance community living standards. Your role will involve collaboration with government entities, architects, and local stakeholders to improve public spaces and infrastructure, ensuring sustainability and community needs are met.

Responsibilities

  • Lead urban planning initiatives focused on sustainable development.
  • Facilitate public meetings and workshops to inform project decisions.
  • Utilize GIS software to create maps and visualizations of urban areas.
  • Perform site visits and assessments to evaluate proposed project locations.
  • Advise on land use and zoning changes necessary for urban development.
  • Prepare funding applications and project proposals for government grants.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or Geography
  • Master's degree preferred
