Cooling and Freezing Equipment Operators and Tenders

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cooler Tender who will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our cooling systems. The ideal candidate should have experience in the food and beverage sector and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail to ensure optimal cooler performance.

Responsibilities

• Handle the operation and upkeep of refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels closely and ensure stock is rotated adequately.
• Document cooler performance and temperature logs regularly.
• Manage relationships with suppliers to streamline inventory supply.
• Engage in problem-solving for cooler malfunctions and customer complaints.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of cooler areas.
• Provide support to the Warehouse Manager in daily operational tasks.
• Maintain safety protocols and compliance with hygiene regulations.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss operational improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Any relevant qualification in Food Safety or Maintenance is advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in a related role, specifically within the food and beverage sector.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Computer literacy

Languages

• English: Fluent
