Job Description

We are searching for a Tax Consultant in Johannesburg who will be responsible for providing expert tax advisory services and ensuring compliance for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local and international tax laws, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax implications of business transactions.
• Research and apply tax laws to ensure compliance and optimal tax strategies.
• Review financial documents and ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of corporate and individual tax filings.
• Identify potential areas for tax savings and risk mitigation.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss tax-related issues.
• Provide guidance on tax incentives and exemptions applicable to clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance expertise.
• Collaborate with legal and financial advisors on complex tax issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in tax consulting or related field

Certifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or similar certification
• Tax Practitioner registration with SARS

Languages

• Knowledge of transfer pricing regulations: Understanding of international tax regulations and compliance.
