Job Description

As a Grinding, Lapping, Polishing, and Buffing Machine Tool Setter, you will play a vital role in ensuring that sand surfaces are expertly prepared and polished. Your attention to detail will ensure a high-quality finish on various materials, contributing to the overall success of our construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust machine settings for different types of surfaces.
• Ensure that all surfaces are level, flat, and blemish-free.
• Train new employees on proper machine operation and safety protocols.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• Troubleshoot any issues with machines and perform minor repairs.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress.
• Prioritize tasks based on project timelines and requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Trade qualification in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• Experience with different types of surfaces (e.g. concrete, wood)

Technical Skills

• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to follow instructions

Languages

• English: Fluent
