Job Description

As a Parking Enforcement Worker, you will play an essential role in upholding traffic regulations in Cape Town. Your responsibilities will include issuing citations, monitoring parking conditions, and assisting the public with parking-related inquiries. We're looking for detail-oriented individuals with a knack for communication to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce parking laws and regulations within a designated zone.
  • Issue tickets for violations while ensuring fairness and compliance.
  • Engage with the community to promote understanding of parking rules.
  • Assist with traffic management during events or high-traffic times.
  • Compile reports on parking issues and violations for departmental review.
  • Collaborate with community outreach programs to educate citizens.
  • Provide feedback on potential improvements to parking facilities.
  • Work closely with the Parking Supervisor to discuss operational efficiencies.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred
Experience
  • Previous experience in customer service or law enforcement is a plus.
