We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of underwriting processes, risk assessment, and the ability to analyze client needs. This role involves collaborating with agents and clients to create tailored insurance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret data related to insurance risks.
• Collaborate in team meetings to discuss underwriting strategies.
• Identify potential areas for improvement within the underwriting process.
• Provide feedback and insights on market trends and client needs.
• Ensure all applications meet company underwriting standards.
• Assist in training initiatives for new team members.
• Monitor and review claims to ensure eligibility and compliance.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and brokers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Master's degree or further certifications in underwriting are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance domain, with a focus on underwriting.
