Pharmacist

Job Description

We're looking for a Pharmacist who is eager to make a difference in the lives of our patients in Durban. Your responsibilities will encompass advising customers on prescriptions, conducting health screenings, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, while also being a key part of our healthcare team. Ideal candidates will have a strong educational background and previous experience in pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and manage pharmaceuticals to ensure safe patient use.
• Educate and counsel patients about their medications and health concerns.
• Participate in healthcare team meetings, providing insights on patient medication.
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with health policies and procedures.
• Assist in managing the pharmacy inventory supply chain.
• Document and report medication errors or adverse drug reactions.
• Coordinate with local health agencies to promote health education.
• Contribute to pharmacy quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in budgeting and financial management of pharmacy operations.
• Stay up-to-date on continuing education and pharmacy regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• PharmD highly preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience
