Job Description

As a Tapeman, you will be responsible for the precise taping of surfaces to ensure flawless finishes on construction projects. Your attention to detail will be crucial in achieving high-quality results while working with a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Cut and apply tape accurately to surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Inspect taped areas for quality assurance and adherence to project standards.
• Collaborate with other construction staff to achieve project goals.
• Maintain and manage taping tools and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety standards and protocols.
• Promptly report any defects or issues to the site supervisor.
• Participate in the daily setup and cleanup of the work area.

Requirements

Education

• Minimum of Grade 10 education
• Vocational training in construction preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in construction or taping is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of tape types
• Ability to follow instructions

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Physical stamina

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience operating taping machines: Knowledge of using specialized equipment for taping.
• Knowledge of various tape applications: Familiarity with different types of tape and their uses.
