Job Description

We are searching for a talented Architect to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing innovative and sustainable architectural solutions, collaborating with clients, and leading projects from concept to completion. This role requires creativity, strong technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design workshops to develop architectural solutions.
• Produce 3D models and renderings to illustrate design intent.
• Collaborate with local authorities to secure necessary permits.
• Monitor the progress of the construction to ensure adherence to designs.
• Evaluate the sustainability aspects of projects.
• Prepare project completion reports and maintenance manuals.
• Participate in community engagement initiatives related to projects.
• Manage client relationships effectively to foster repeat business.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering
• Master's degree in Architecture or Urban Design is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in architecture, including residential and commercial projects

Technical Skills

• 3D Modelling Software
• Building Codes and Regulations

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal Skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Architectural Registration Examination (ARE)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Landscape Design: Basic knowledge of landscape design principles will be beneficial.
• Expertise in Historical Restoration: Experience in restoration of historical buildings is advantageous.
