Motor Setter

Job Description

As a Motor Setter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of electric motors used across various machines and equipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong technical background in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of electrical motors according to specifications.
• Diagnose motor issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Report on the condition and performance of motor systems.
• Engage in regular maintenance checks and documentation.
• Support inventory management of motor parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and codes of practice.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates.
• Provide excellent customer service during field operations.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 Certificate
• National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in motor installation, maintenance, and repair.

• Hydraulics

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with large and complex motors: Hands-on experience with large systems.
