Urban Planner

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Urban Planner to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing urban development projects that enhance community living while addressing environmental concerns. This role involves collaborating with multiple stakeholders including governmental bodies, developers, and community groups to ensure compliance with planning regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead community planning sessions to solicit public feedback.
• Create visual representations of urban plans using software tools.
• Provide expert advice on land use and development strategies.
• Review planning proposals and provide recommendations.
• Facilitate workshops to educate the public on urban planning processes.
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban or Regional Planning
• Post-graduate qualification is an advantage

Experience

• At least 4 years of experience in urban planning with a proven track record
