Job Description

Are you passionate about health and wellness? We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, counseling patients on their prescriptions, and providing healthcare advice to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patient medication regimens and make recommendations to providers.
  • Engage in continuous education to keep current with pharmacotherapy & clinical practices.
  • Participate in audits and quality assurance activities within the pharmacy.
  • Assist in the training of new pharmacy staff and interns.
  • Address medication-related inquiries from patients and healthcare teams.
  • Manage drug recalls and ensure proper disposal of expired medications.
  • Utilize pharmacy management systems efficiently for tracking and reporting.
  • Develop trusting relationships with patients to encourage adherence to therapy.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or related field
  • Certification in Pharmaceutical Care is a plus
Experience
  • Experience in community pharmacy or clinical pharmacy settings preferred
